Maryland Governor's Grants Office Training Conference 2016

eCivis is proud to announce its fourth-year sponsorship of the Maryland Governor’s Grants Office at its 2017 Governor’s Grants Training Conference on Monday, November 13, 2017.  This year we join forces with our partner CostTree as sponsors and session speakers. Participants from many states have joined us in College Park, Maryland, for this exceptional annual conference. Last year, attendees came from over 20 states and territories. If you touch federal dollars, you would be wise to attend.

Session Topic Highlights

Here are a few of the session topics taken from the agenda:

Nicolie Lettini, CEO and founder of CostTree and a renowned expert on cost plans and indirect cost rates, will teach attendees about cost plan strategies. Even if you are already have a cost plan, you may not be using it to its full capacity. If you will be submitting your plan to a governmental agency, you will want to be fully compliant with the OMB Uniform Guidance so you are not leaving money on the table.

Sherie Sanders, Content Manager at eCivis, and Lindsey Brannon of Neighborly, an online civic project investment platform, will share their expertise on crowdfunding and impact investing, discussing today’s best alternate methods for fundraising when your local government or nonprofit needs to supplement grants, raise funds for a capital project, or meet a match requirement. They will be joined by Matthew Klein, Maryland’s Legislative Capital Budget Manager.

More sessions will focus on:

  • Uniform Guidance topics
  • Writing a successful grant proposal
  • A private funders’ panel
  • How to prepare for the Single Audit
  • A plenary session with high-ranking officials from Washington, D.C., will discuss federal trends, and the changes and improvements at Grants.gov, and USASpending.gov

So please bring your questions, as they are many moving parts surrounding the successful acquisition and management of grants. Join us and have your questions answered by our country’s leading experts.

And register today, as seats are limited.
