Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Grants Survey
The Texas Legislature recently restored approximately half of the Texas Recreation Parks Account (TRPA) and Large County & Municipality Recreation and Parks Account funding for the 2014-2015 biennium. With the restoration of partial funding to the TRPA, which includes the the Local Park Grants and Community Outdoor Outreach Program, the Recreation Grants Branch is seeking public input on how to evaluate the grant applications. In addition, program rules such as award ceilings, scoring criteria, and application periods will be reviewed.
To assess the needs and desires of grantees, the Recreation Grants Branch is issuing an on-line survey, which will close at midnight on November 15, 2013. To whom these grants are relevant, please take a few minutes to give your feedback on the proposed rules and scoring for the TRPA grants: https://tpwd-recgrantsurvey.fluidreview.com/
New eCivis Articles
Last week, eCivis published the article "Grant Tips for Grant Administrators" to help grant writers set goals according to how far out an application deadline is. Here are our most recently published articles:
Why do we emphasize the issue of grant myths? Because those myths are still out there and grant writers often have to continually correct these myths. Why publish on proposal editing? Because grant writing involves teamwork beyond the grant writer's efforts.
