Grants Advice: Dr. Bev, Part II

by Timothy Tiernan on September 10, 2012
Find me on:

Dr. Beverly Browning on the radio discusses grant writingFew people can claim 40 publications to their name, let alone when most of these publications relate to grant writing and fundraising. Dr. Beverly A. Browning ("Dr. Bev") is a rare exception. As eCivis' Vice President of Grants Professional Services (which includes peer review and grant writing assistance) and the author of Grant Writing for Dummies, Dr. Bev is a major authoritative voice on grant writingwhether it's knowing what grantors look for during peer review or how to write a compelling statement of need to put your grant proposal above the stack of competition.

A couple weeks ago I transcribed some of Dr. Bev Browning's interview on Lexinet's Mike and Christy radio program, where she dishes out some great grant writing advice. If you're short on time, skip to 19:55-21:40. This poignant story will inspire anyone with grant writer's block and definitely draw a few tears. An excerpted transcript can be found here.

A big thanks to Mike and Christy, who granted eCivis permission to post this radio segment on the eCivis blog!
