At the end of this month, eight federal procurement systems and the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) will migrate to a one-stop federal system, the System for Award Management (SAM). The move will reduce the number of passwords registrants use, the number of systems they interact with, and data redundancy.
Systems that will be consolidated in SAM include the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), the Federal Agency Registration (FedReg), the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), and the Excluded Parties List System (EPLS).
During July 24-30, while CCR transfers its data and function to SAM, the CCR website will be available only to search registration numbers. Applicants that need to register or update a registration with CCR during this period must wait until the CCR portion of SAM goes online, which is scheduled to occur on the morning of July 30. At that time, applicants may go to SAM.gov to use CCR. Additional information regarding the CCR transition can be found here.
Note: CCR records scheduled to expire between July 16, 2012, and October 15, 2012, were automatically extended for 90 days.
